Embarking on a new design 

When a client wants a logo, an Ad, or a graphic design image of any kind I start with concept which could be anything from a sketch to a rough digital composite. Both types are designed to convey a concept and design direction of a specific idea. A fair amount of the work showcased here was done over almost a decade, while I served as the Art Director at KSEE 24. I have also included content that I have designed for various freelance clients.

KSEE 24 (NBC affiliate) 

In 2005 I transitioned from the video game industry to broadcast television news. When I first joined the KSEE team we were only broadcasting in SD (Standard Definition 480i at 720 x 480 interlaced) and our stuff was mostly filmed on digital video tape. At KSEE I witnessed and heavily participated in the transition from Analog to Digital video and then to HDTV (High Definition 720p @ 1280 x 720 and then finally 1080p/1080i @ 1920 x 1080). I created everything from logos to news graphics to content for print and outdoor media. Most of my designs were eventually animated and/or edited into video.
